Suggested Prerequisites:
CSL101, CSL102, CSL201, or equivalent.
An undergraduate level understanding of UNIX programming environment and good programming skills in C is required.

Course Objectives:

The course will be directed to a graduate audience interested in understanding the major concepts of operating system design. The detailed operation of various components of operating systems will be presented. The project component of the course is intended to provide hands-on experience to reinforce concepts discussed in this course.

The tentative weight associated with each grading component is as follows:

The minor I exam will be held on Feb 15, 2007 (Thursday) between 11:00am and 12:00am.

The minor II exam will be held on Mar 23, 2007 (Friday) between 11:00am and 12:00am.
The major exam will be held on May 5, 2007 (Saturday) between 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
