Biography

Dr. Yu Yang is currently a Research Assistant Professor with the Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China. He reveived his Ph.D. degree in computer science from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, in 2021. He received B.Eng. in Computer Science from the Xi'an University of Science and Technology in 2012 and M.Sc. in Pattern Recognition from the Shenzhen Univerisity in 2015. He was also a visiting student with Data Science Group in the University of Queensland in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Xiaofang Zhou and A/Prof. Hongzhi Yin. Dr Yang’s research interests include graph representation learning, spatiotemporal data analysis, urban computing, and learning analytics. Dr Yang served as a reviewer for many international journals and conferences like IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics Systems, AAAI, etc.
