Human sensing research in IMCL can be divided into two parts:
- Smart wireless human sensing: We investigate different wireless signal for sensing human activities in a non-intrusive manner and develop new methods to tackled key challenges in using the low-cost wireless devices for human sensing in complex scenarios, e.g., dynamic environments, multi-person, and concurrent activities.
- High-accuracy indoor localization in large areas: We investigate RFID and Bluetooth based indoor localization and develop new algorithms to achieve high localization accuracy in large-scale warehouse. We develop a IoT platform that can perform real-time localization for moving people in the warehouse of Alibaba.
