Description
enhancing students language ability and facilitating the workflow of publishing school newsletter through establishing an e-publishing platform for 50 schools in Hong Kong
Purpose of the Project
The aim of the project is to encourage students to learn from writing more, to promote electronic publishing leading to an environmental friendly paperless school, to encourage the use of IT for collaborative editing, to facilitate students and teachers collaboration, to foster interactive and action-based learning, to educate students in media and IT ethics, to inspire students' creativity, and to promote school culture.

Design /methodology /approach
This project introduces the Campus e-Newsletter system to secondary school for on-line newsletter publishing. Pedagogically, the system facilitates non-formal education for IT and writing.
Findings /Results /Evaluation of the Project
The project helped to increase students' sense of achievement and cultivate students' team spirit as students worked as an editorial board for their school e-newsletters and were encouraged to widely publicize their work. It also helped to foster students' development in their potential and specific abilities and equip them with a variety of learning approaches. Not only were they equipped with e-news publishing skills, but also for internet-based information collection and research methods, etc. As for the teachers who participated in the project, they attended the Campus e-Newsletter training courses and professional seminars that helped enhancing their professional development.

Practical implications
By establishing their own school e-newsletter, students become more aware of their surrounding and in particular their school activities, learn specific abilities in e-news publishing and how to work collaboratively. Practical IT skills are equipped.
Social implications
Promote a sense of paperless workplace.
Originality/value (Importance) of the project
Campus e-Newsletter is an innovative way that facilitates all-rounded development of students, including language and IT skills enhancement, creativity inspiration, and sense of collaboration development.
