Consolidation and Redevelopment Work on IT in Education

To date, the QEF has granted many projects from which successful experiences and quality deliverables have been generated. The QEF has all along been engaged in attempts to identify the success factors from quality projects for wider dissemination. The Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, as the commissioning professional agency, has conducted consolidation and redevelopment work to underpin good practices distilled from groups of QEF projects under selected theme. The aim of the consultancy service is to consolidate and capitalize on worthwhile projects and promote sustainability at multi-levels. The scope includes QEF projects related to IT in Education, and non-QEF related projects, namely the Centre of Excellence Scheme (CoE) Scheme and the e-Learning Pilot Scheme.

The QEF and non-QEF projects are valuable assets for teachers and education practitioners. Also, there exist a number of well-developed e-Learning tools which can facilitate teaching and learning processes. In this web-based system, the projects and tools are categorized based on the Key Learning Areas (KLA), education sectors and keywords. Users of the system can efficiently retrieve theses resources to facilitate course curriculum design and material preparation process.
