Openings for Post-doc and PhD candidates
- [Internet path quality measurement] This project aims at proposing and implementing effective methods to measure path
quality in a large-scale manner. The candidate is required to be very familiar with TCP/IP and is good at practical
system development and networking skills. The math background is also important for network tomography and modeling.
- [Security of distributed control systems] This project aims at modeling and addressing insecurity of distributed control
systems, such as feedback-based network protocols and autonomic systems. The candidate is required to have strong
background on Control Theory and network protocols. The math background is also very important for this project.
- [Theory of queue stability] This project aims at developing new theoretical results on the stability properties for the
single-resource-sharing problem in wireless networks, packet scheduling, and polling systems. The candidate is required
to have strong background on stochastic process, applied probability, and queueing theory.
