Bio
I joined PolyU as an Assistant Professor in 2020 and became an Associate Professor in July 2026. Previously, I was a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore and a researcher at Lenovo HK. I earned my PhD from The University of Hong Kong and my bachelor’s degree from Nanjing University.
Research Interests
My research focuses on data systems and algorithms that make rich data useful at scale. I study how to jointly design representations and computation to exploit the structure and semantics of data. This perspective connects my work on
- Rich Data Representations and Analytics: attributed, heterogeneous, and higher-order graphs; embedding and clustering; spatiotemporal analytics.
- Scalable Data Systems: query processing, indexing, and vector retrieval; parallel and distributed execution.
- Semantic Data Processing: table understanding and context selection; LLM efficiency and reliability.
