EDOC 2006 will be held in Hong Kong. The workshops will run from 16 to 17 October at the Regal Kowloon Hotel. The main conference will run from 18 to 20 October at Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel.

The Conference Hotel

EDOC 2006 main conference will take place at the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel, a five-star hotel on the Kowloon Pennisula. The hotel is located in Tsim Sha Tsui area. It is right next to the East Tsim Sha Tsui train station (called KCR in Hong Kong) of the East Rail at Exit P1 and is very accessible to the Tsim Sha Tsui subway station (called MTR in Hong Kong) of the Tsuen Wan Line, about 400 m to Exit D2 (there is a pedestrian tunnel leading from KCR Exit P1 to MTR Exit G directly). There is the A-21 CityFlyer airbus coming from Hong Kong International Airport (hotel near stop 16 from Airport). You may also take the MTR Airport Express train to Kowloon station and connect to shuttle K4.

The Workshop Hotel

EDOC 2006 workshops will take place at the Regal Kowloon Hotel, just opposite to the conference hotel. It is close to the East Tsim Sha Tsui train station of the East Rail at Exit P1 and is very accessible to the Tsim Sha Tsui subway station of the Tsuen Wan Line, about 400 m to Exit D2, reachable via a pedestrian tunnel from East Rail Exit P1 to Exit G. There is the A-21 CityFlyer airbus coming from Hong Kong International Airport (hotel near stop 17 from Airport). You may also take the MTR Airport Express train to Kowloon station and connect to shuttle K4.

Visa to Hong Kong

For citizens of a majority of countries in the world, no visa is required for visiting Hong Kong, as long as the length of the stay does not exceed the specified period (from 7 to 90 days). Please refer to the table (item 12) at the Hong Kong Government web site to confirm whether you need a visa, and the length of stay without a visa.
