Visual data play an indispensable role in human understanding and interaction with the surrounding world, while the increasing ubiquity of digital imaging and proliferation of visual data raise grand challenge of effective and efficient visual data computing. The Pervasive Visual Computing (PVC) laboratory is engaged in developing innovative theory, algorithms and systems in pervasive visual sensing and reconstruction, intelligent visual learning and understanding, and big visual data analytics. PVC aims to be one of the most active labs worldwide in computer vision, and a world leading lab in areas such as visual reconstruction, visual classification, and visual understanding, etc.
