By Train
You can either take the direct train to Hong Kong. It
arrives at the Kowloon (Hung Hom) Terminal. You may also take train to Shen Zhen (Lo Wu)
and then cross the border. You then take the KCR train from Lo Wu Station to Hung Hom
Station. The cost is about HK$33. From there it is a short walk to the Hostel (about
10 minutes). There are two levels of exits to the Hung Hom station. The major exit is to the north east on the upper level, exit C,
(see the green spot), where you can find many bus terminals. If you arrive by
direct train (not from Lo Wu), you will come out from this level.
Turn to the West side and walk downstair into the tunnel.
Get around the tunnel to Tsim Sha Tsui direction. The first
bridge on the right leads to Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Walk straight and there is
a second bridge on the right. Go along the bridge and turn left on the first junction. It
will lead you to Tsim Sha Tsui (including the Conference Hotel). Go downstair on the first
left exit and walk along the road (turning left) into the Hostel. If you miss the exit,
you could walk straight along the bridge until it ends by going down. Then you turn around
and walk along the road surface and cross the road. The Hostel is on your right side.
Please refer to the map (high
resolution, low resolution) on the Green route.
The second exit is to the middle tunnel level. It is the
nearest exit if you take the local train from Lo Wu. Exit near
the front of the train and find the Tsim Sha Tsui exit at middle level
(exit D) to the south west (see the green spot).
There you walk cross the bridge and turn left on the first function.
It will lead you to Tsim Sha Tsui (including the Conference Hotel). Go downstair on the
first left exit and walk along the road (turning left) into the Hostel. If you miss the
exit, you could walk straight along the bridge until it ends by going down. Then you turn
around and walk along the road surface and cross the road. The Hostel is on your right
side. Please refer to the map (high
resolution, low resolution) on the Green route. |
By Sea
You should reach the Hong Kong China Terminal at Tsim
Sha Tsui. Go out of the terminal to Canton Road. You can then find the minibus (green van)
station. Look for route #6 going to Whompoa Garden/Train Station. Get on the minibus and
tell the driver to stop at Train Station (you may not even need to say, because most
passengers get down at Train Station). The fare is about HK$4.30. Refer to the Red spot in
the map. There you can find an entrance to a tunnel. Go down the tunnel and walk towards
Tsim Sha Tsui. The first bridge on the right leads to Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Walk straight and there is a second bridge on the right. Go along the bridge and turn left
on the first junction. It will lead you to Tsim Sha Tsui (including the Conference Hotel).
Go downstair on the first left exit and walk along the road (turning left) into the
Hostel. If you miss the exit, you could walk straight along the bridge until it ends by
going down. Then you turn around and walk along the road surface and cross the road. The
Hostel is on your right side. Please refer to the map (high resolution, low resolution)
on the Red route. |
