Ordinal Measures for Recovering 3D Shape Information from a Single 2D Palmprint Image

This webpage provides implementation details from recovering 3D surface information using 2D biometrics images acquired under contactless imaging. Readers are suggested to download the paper (in the following reference) to understand the algorithm and its use for other biometrics modalities. Our implementation for the proposed feature extractor is relatively simple but highly effective especially for matching palmprint data.

Operating System and Environment

All the experiments reported in the paper have been executed under Windows 8 Operating System, with Intel(R) Core (TM), i5-3210M CPU@2.5GHz, 8 GB RAM, Visual Studio 2010.

Download Instructions

All the programs from our implementation is available for as a part of reproducible research. All the executable programs can be downloaded from the following link after September 2014 onwards. The readme file inside the zip folder provides step-by-step instructions to run the programs and achieve experimental results detailed in the paper.
