Assignment 0: WebCT and Group Signup

This is an introductory assignment, meant to get you familiar with WebCT and get you to find partners for your robot/garment assignments.

The instructions are as follows:

Step 1: Find yourself a partner to work with on the robot/garment assignments.

Step 2: Decide whether you want to work on robots or on garments. You might want to read the descriptions before you make your decision on what to work on.

Step 3: The group member with the smaller studentID should submit a text file (in Microsoft Word, choose "Save As", and then, under formats, choose "Text Only" containing the information of your group. The format of your file must look like this:

Your student ID Your partner's student ID Your choice (robot/garment/either)

For example, a sample file might look like:

09123456d 09223556d either

The smaller of the two studentID should go first. Obviously, only one handin per group is required.

That's it! Go ahead and read the assignment descriptions, form your group and decide whether you would rather work on robots or garments. Then sign up. Act now because it's first-come-first-serve!

Due Date

Your assignment is due on Friday, Sept 11, 23:30 (that will give you two weeks to find a group). Anybody who's still not yet in groups by then will be randomly grouped together and assigned a robot/garment. So act quickly if you want to be in a group with your friends, or if you have a preference for either one!.
