Course Objectives:

The key objectives of this course is to provide a broad understanding of information systems so as to streamline intra-organizational and inter-organizational e-business process. This course also provides hands on training on developing the e-business applications and web sites using the market software packages, web authoring and development tools. The business processes enabled by integrating information systems, telecommunications and internet-based technologies formed in various industry, e-security challenges, along with their ethical and social impact will also be covered.

Grading:

The tentative weight associated with each grading component is as follows:

• Assignment 1-3 - 30%
• Class Performance - 10%
• Examination 1 - 10%
• Examination 2 - 10%
• Examination 3(Final) - 40%
   

Grading Policy:

• Assignments have to be handed in before lecture begins on the due date.
• Make-up for exams will be issued only under exceptional circumstances provided prior arrangements are made with the instructor.
• Instructor reserves the right to deny requests for make-up exams.
